Sunniside is fast becoming a hub of activity and has attracted creative businesses such as design agencies, photographers, artists, architects, gift shops and an array of new cafes, bars and restaurants to suit every taste.
Out of these

2,275sq.m of new/improved floorspace was created.
Sunniside has attracted £113 million of private investment up to March 2009.
Over 1080 jobs (gross) have been created.
More than 270 homes have been delivered in the area.
Leisure development to date includes 20 new bars, cafes and restaurants in the area plus a new 3,584sq.m Tenpin Bowling facility which is part of the new Sunniside Leisure area. This area also includes eateries, a casino, cinema complex and high quality living space.
Grade II listed buildings on West Sunniside have been transformed into high quality commercial spaces linked to a superb business facility on Athenaeum Street called thePlace.
Sunniside Partnership has carried out public realm work which has included the redevelopment of Sunniside Gardens in 2007. Improvement works are now being carried out on key streets throughout the Sunniside area.
The Partnership is working to attract more people into Sunniside and has invested in marketing campaigns, regular press and regional radio adverts to show that Sunniside is worth exploring.
